Ethics Training

Louisiana Revised Statute 42:1170 requires all public employees to complete one hour of training on the Code of Governmental Ethics each calendar year.  In addition, each City of Bogalusa official and board/commission member must complete the required ethics training each calendar year.

A Certificate of Completion issued by the Louisiana Board of Ethics is provided to each individual who completes the online training module on the Louisiana Board of Ethics Administration.  A copy of the Certificate of Completion shall be documentation of compliance with the annual ethics training requirement.

Finance & Public Works

The City of Bogalusa provides a competitive benefits package for employees. There are 11 paid holidays, fully paid health insurance and life insurance, and vacation based on tenure, starting at two weeks after one year of employment. The City of Bogalusa also administers its own employee retirement system for all non-civil service employees. The employee contribution is 6%, and the City contributes 11%.

Fire & Police

The City of Bogalusa provides a competitive benefits package for employees. There are 11 paid holidays, fully paid health insurance and life insurance, and vacation based on tenure, starting at two weeks after one year of employment. Fire Department personnel are members of the Louisiana Firefighters Retirement System and Police Department Personnel are members of the Louisiana Police Retirement System. Employees contribute 10%. The City's contribution rate varies yearly according to the State of Louisiana mandate.
