The Animal Control Services of the City of Bogalusa include operation of an animal shelter for homeless animals, pet adoption services, and enforcement of the animal control laws.
Animal Control Officer Paul Hebert patrols the streets of the city, keeping the streets free of stray animals and enforcing the ordinances of the city related to animals.
In addition, ACO Hebert maintains the City Pound, investigates animal cruelty cases, and issues citations.
ACO Hebert is also involved in the handling of all animal bite cases occurring within the city limits and assists in preparing case reports as it relates to these cases.
