The Parks, Recreation, and Culture Commission serves as a vital advisory body dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all residents by supporting the city's parks, recreational programs, and cultural initiatives.

The Planning and Zoning Commission is a 9-member panel, appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council.
It shall be the function and duty of the planning and zoning commission to make and adopt a master plan for the physical development of the city.
The Commission meets the third Wednesday of every month at City Hall at 10:00AM. Zoning change requests should be made by the second Wednesday of the month.

The Bogalusa Cemetery Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Mayor, City Council, and Public Works Director on all matters related to the City's cemeteries. The Commission consists of 5 to 10 members and must meet monthly. The Commission is responsible for monitoring the condition of our cemeteries and promoting public interest in their upkeep. The Commission also ensures compliance with City ordinances and Louisiana law. As well as, assists in identifying grants or resources for cemetery improvement.
