Patrons enjoying the evening of May 4th on Restaurant row in Bogalusa .

The City of Bogalusa's Historic Cultural District has made quite a splash in 2024 as the district was chock-full of events over the past month. The district has seen several events hosted by the city in a push to expose the community's most social areas to a bigger crowd of citizens and visitors. The city hosted its first ever Cinco de Mayo Street Festival on Restaurant Row in partnership with Yo-Yo's Mexican Restaurant. Citizens enjoyed a night of great food, music, and fun with activities for persons of all ages. The Bogalusa Parks, recreation, and Culture Commission also hosted many events over the summer on South Columbia Street, including a recurring Kid's Market— a place for our local youth to be exposed to entrepreneurship by selling their goods. This October, the Department of Parks and Recreation hosted the Restaurant Row LIVE Series, featuring 2 hours of local musical acts on every Friday night except Fair Friday (October 18th).

Local artist Ted Hefko opens the Restaurant Row LIVE Series on Friday, October 4, 2024.

Local New Orleans Blues artist Ted Hefko opened the series on Friday, October 4, lighting the row up with some soulful Jazz and Blues.
