Today, we honor and celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day, a time to recognize the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Native communities. Bogalusa acknowledges the vital role Indigenous peoples have played in shaping our community and nation. We reflect on the deep connections Indigenous peoples have to the land and the resilience they have demonstrated through centuries of challenges. Let us use this day as an opportunity to learn more about the traditions and cultures of the Native peoples who have lived on this land for thousands of years. We encourage everyone in Bogalusa to take a moment to reflect, learn, and celebrate Indigenous communities past and present. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #BogalusaCelebrates #HonorNativeHeritage

Happy #NationalLumberjackDay from the City of Bogalusa! 🌲🪓 Today, we celebrate National Lumberjack Day--a perfect time to honor Bogalusa's rich history rooted in the lumber industry 🪵 and recognize the hardworking spirit that helped build our community. As the "Magic City," Bogalusa grew thanks to its booming timber operations, and this legacy continues to shape our identity. It's also a great day to shout out our Bogalusa High School Lumberjacks! 🏈💪 Just like the lumberjacks who helped build this city, our student-athletes bring strength, determination, and pride to the field. Whether it's cutting down obstacles or standing tall as a team, our Lumberjacks continue to represent the core values of our city. Let's celebrate National Lumberjack Day by supporting our local team and remembering the role the timber industry plays in our past and future. Go Lumberjacks! #NationalLumberjackDay #BogalusaLumberjacks #TimberTownPride
